At Sapan Inka, we have designed a therapeutic model that integrates the sacred use of Ayahuasca with a deep psychological approach. We firmly believe that for this ancestral medicine to help you on your spiritual healing journey, it is essential to work with a structured and professional method. For this reason, a tremendously important aspect of our philosophy and work methodology is organizing retreats with small groups, ensuring that each participant receives truly individualized attention.
We are convinced that genuine therapeutic support is not viable in mass retreats. We believe that ayahuasca retreats are not, and should not be, a tourist experience. For Sapan Inka, an ayahuasca retreat is a healing process, rooted in the traditional use of curanderos from the Amazon rainforest and reinforced by a deep, transpersonal therapy model.
For us, the safety and care of each person are our highest priority. Therefore, we have established a limit on the number of participants that allows us to care for, support, and guide each individual personally throughout the entire process. This model allows us to go beyond the ceremonial experience, establishing a bond of trust that is fundamental for the work of healing. We are certain that this level of dedication, attention, and support would be impossible to provide in a group with more than 8 participants, although our retreats are normally conducted with 6 or fewer participants.
At Sapan Inka, we recognize that participating in an Ayahuasca retreat is only the beginning of a profound healing process. The medicine is a powerful spirit that helps us to cleanse, heal, and be reborn. However, a holistic healing process requires our conscious collaboration. We understand that after participating in an Ayahuasca retreat, integration work is absolutely necessary.
The effects experienced in an Ayahuasca ceremony can be understood as a powerful catalyst, but integration is the real work that should be performed with responsibility and commitment.
During the ceremony, you may receive an avalanche of information, visions, emotions, and revelations. Without an integration process, this experience can feel like an intense dream, and upon waking, the profound messages and insights dissipate or become confusing. Integration is the bridge between the spiritual realm lived in your Ayahuasca experience and the reality of your daily life.
The ceremony shows you the door, but it is the integration process that teaches you to cross it and live a healthy life every day.
Our therapeutic model is original because it integrates knowledge from various psychological approaches, such as Jungian, existential, and archetypal psychology, with the ancestral wisdom of different spiritual traditions. This synthesis allows us to offer each participant the necessary tools and guidance to make sense of their experiences, re-elaborate their contents, and anchor the revelations in their daily life, ensuring a lasting and sustainable transformation.
